SEO Device Page
This is my SEO device page that I worked on after finishing my iFixit repair guide. This Device page contains information about the Hamilton Aladdin ventilator that is used for prematurely-born infants. It is important that biomedical technicians have easy access to important information regarding equipment used in hospitals, especially during a pandemic.

Choosing a Device
There was a long list of devices to choose from, so I decided to initially choose an anesthesia unit called the Primus Drager. Unfortunately, because I did not complete my work on time, someone else took the device page and began working on it instead. This was a setback for me, however I learned that adapting is an integral part of any work environment. Not just in school or at work, but in life: you will encounter unforeseeable situations/predicaments and you have to be able to not dwell on something for too long. As soon as I found out somebody else took the device I was working on, I stopped what I was doing and began working on my back-up right away. You cannot afford to get caught up with your emotions in situations like this because it will not change what has already happened. Just adapt and try your best to finish strong with what you have left!
Research Difficulties
With this project, I had experienced a lot of difficulties looking for reliable and verifiable information about this medical device. The reason being, it was fairly outdated and the manufacturer no longer had any support information on their website. This company being based in Europe did not make it any easier for me either. I was able to use the skill of question wording (using different search entries by switching words around/ searching as many different questions as possible) to bring up different results on Google instead of just searching up the name of the device and going through the first and second page looking through the results. Among searching up different terms/keywords, I also searched by image and went to the URL of the images to see if I could find any extra bits of information regarding the outdated device. This strategy definitely helped me find some valuable information as well.
Finalizing the Device Page
After communicating with the iFixit team and my professor that there was not much more information I could find on the device, they told me to find more sources at the very least. So I looked for the closest thing relating to the Aladdin ventilator, that being NCPAPs and information regarding these devices and how they work. Because of my new approach to finding sources, I went from having 2 sources to having 5 sources. When citing these sources, I made sure to use hyperlinks for my references so that way the pages I was sourcing could be directly accessed and assessed for reliability. I tried my best to look for information from the producers of the product, as well as any scientific organizations or research institutes that went into detail about the functionality of ventilators. This drastically improved the quality of my device page and helped me achieve a much better grade than what I had prior. After finding as many sources as I possibly could that was relevant to my device, I then summarized the information I gathered into a few paragraphs for the device page. Among listing the technical specifications and background information of the device, I had to make sure I proofread my work to maintain professionalism, as these pages will be looked at mostly by those in the medical field.
