Course Reflection
This has definitely been one of the most engaging courses I've had in my university career, and that says a lot because it was done solely from an online setting (which in my opinion makes it hard for students to be immersed in the course material) so that says a lot about how much I learned from WRIT 2201. I have become a lot better at researching, writing, and communicating; all of these skills are essential in the workplace, so I will be glad I took this course in the future when I'll be using these skills each and everyday at work.
Future
Aspirations
I am aspiring to be an IT professional, most likely in the line of work that has to do with network security and working with network infrastructures. Communication skills will help me in job interviews when I am looking to attain a certain position, and while im working with fellow employees on solving problems and completing projects. If I am working with customers/clients especially, communication is key to understand and relay messages during interactions and conversations. Research skills will come in handy when I am required to search up how to fix specific issues I am tasked to diagnose and repair, as well as when I am writing my resume for certain positions. Every company is different, so it is important you find out what they are looking for so you can adjust your resume accordingly and increase your chances of getting the desired position. Writing skills will be useful in the future in many ways: working on projects, communicating with colleagues through emails, writing up resumes that are tailored to a specific company and position, writing and editing code where you need to leave comments, etc.
